Hello everyone,

I'm here to ask for help. I have bought a brand new Lenovo E440 but I can't get it booting from USB. There is no OS preinstalled except from Freedos.

I have set USB drive to be the first one to boot from and also I have tried to make multiple USB sticks. None of them worked. Also absurdly when there is USB stick with OS plugged into the computer it just freezes at Lenovo lego. When I unplug it everything return to normal speed and ends up at Boot / App Menu. Is there a possibility that none of my USB disks are compatible with it's motherboard?

Additionaly same issue is with Windows 7. I can't boot it from USB and not even from original CD.

Secure boot is disabled and

UEFI/Legacy Boot [Both]
UEFI/Legacy Boot Priority [Legacy First]
CSM Support [Yes].

Any ideas?
Thanks.

I know this is a stupid question and I mean no offence, but did you make the USB bootable or did you just copy the iso to the usb?

Is the USB just insanely slow? Does it have an indicator light that flashes as you try to boot? Have you tried booting without the hard drive connected (just the usb)?
