I was wondering. If I buy a 4k TV I know it only can handle 30hz at that resolution. But If i use a 1440p resolution on desktop/in game, will it run at 60hz?

Solution
Depends by what constraint the 30hz comes into play. If its only a limitation of the HDMI 1.4 (because of course its HDMI, its a TV) connection then it may work at 1440p 60hz, but if the panel itself or underlying scalars just cant do over 30hz then your out of luck.
We cant really know, this is more a question for the specific companies tech support.

Hmm. Ok, was hoping there were a universal answer if it only was a hdmi restriction. So, if I´m unlucky I could end up with a tv only playing at 30hz even in 1080p? Tv in question says it is a 120hz tv.
