Hello guys i need your experience to help a noob. At first my english are bad so excuse me for any mistake!

Well i want to buy a new GPU help me chose which is better and why?
http:// asus radeon r9 280
http:// gigabyte readon r9 280
And now i want you to see my hardware and tell me if they are compatible
Midi-case
Moba: http:// asus
PSU: http:// coolermaster elite
CPU: http:// intel pentium
No cd-dvd drive
only 1 cheep fan
2 HDD 1TB+150GB

In my present GPU http:// the GPU is covering the connectors of sata cables for hard drives.. i put one cable with 90 degrees angle and im okay what about the new GPU can i do the same or i need new moba?

Solution
R9-280 is a little overpowered for your build. CPU is going to hold you back on a lot of games.

Perfectly fine if you plan for a CPU upgrade in the near or even long term.

A Core 2 Quad would be a significant improvement over a dual core pentium. Slower IPC per core, but there are 4 of them with access to a lot more cache.

You could invest in an i5-2500 or i5-3570 with that motherboard and be better off, but then you wouldn't have much left over for a video card. Buying the video card now won't hurt, just won't be able to stretch its legs.

R9-280 will work in basically any PCIe x16 slot. Your power supply offers enough connections to run it as well.
