Hey all... so im building my first watercooling loop and i have the general idea of things but i have no idea what size pump i need. The loop is in the 900D and its going to a cpu block, to a LARGE (and i mean, really big) reservoir, then to TWO sli GTX 980s and then to 2 radiators, one a 560 and another a 280. I need to know what pump can handle this configuration without being insanely expensive (like to keep under $100 for the pump IF POSSIBLE). Thanks for the help!

I agree. The D5 pump is your best bet. It can easily handle that.

Its commonly sold as Swiftech MCP655. Its around $80 but you can get a variable version (which I recommend) for like $10 or $20 more.

The pump that most people use and is the most powerful one on the market today I think would be the D5 pump. There are many variations of the pump from various companies and most are under $100.

Why would i need to change the speed of the pump? I see the ease of access but how is that used?

The pump can be loud if you run it at full speed all the timw, the variable version lets you run it at full speed or low speed whenever you want, like when under high load, you can turn the pump up, and turn it low at little load.
