I built a new pc and the old one I was SB x-fi titanium, loved it but selling that as part of the old system. My GPU is a Sapphire R9290x tri x, motherboard is Asus maximus VII hero, 16g g skill sniper, Intel 4690k chip, and I have the Klipsch 5.1 pro media ultra speakers with rebuilt amp and cooling fan. I like good music, watch movies and play fps games a lot. I need a good pci-e sound card that has the 3.5 mini plugs to connect to as that is what my speaker system has so assuming analog out. I want a card that is as good or better the my older SB x-fi titanium. recommendations, I bought a HT Omega Claro II but its PCI not Pci-e

Few quick questions and recommendations.

If you have not yet bought all these parts for your system, you should probably get an Nvidia GTX 970 GPU isntead of the AMD R9 290x. Its just excellent in pretty much all areas, and a better buy.

Now, on to the sound bit, does your receiver by chance have an SPDIF connection? If so that would probably save you quite a bit of cash as a sound card doesn't do anything when SPDIF is in use.

If not then there are some high end sound cards, just wanted to suggest this idea first.
