I have this really bad laptop (HP G56) that I've had for a few years now and it's got 2gb of ram, the ram is elpida 2gb 2Rx8 PC3-10600-9-10-F1 and I want to upgrade this to play games like minecraft but I want to know what types of ram I can use to upgrade it to at least 4gb.

First you have to know how many modules of ram it can support than I recommend you go to Newegg.com and look for ram in the Laptop ram section. Just choose any brand you like and that's it. Be sure you get laptop ram because desktop ram will not fit. Lets say you wanted 4 gb or ram and you laptop supports one module of ram then you buy the 4GBx1 and if you have two ram slots than you can do the 4GBx1 or 2GBx2
