Hello everyone,
I have recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 with the following specs :
CPU : Intel Core-i5 4200U @1.60GHz 2.30 GHz
RAM : 8 GB
GPU : Switchable Graphics - Intel HD Graphics 4400 and AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB DDR3
Driver Intel Graphic 15.33.18.64.3496 and AMD Mobility Radeon 14.4
Genuine Windows 8.1 64 bit updated.
The problem I have is supposedly with a Video driver conflict. I can't shut down\hibernate\suspend\close the lid properly. When I do any of these, the display turns off but the processor wont turn off. Then all I can do is hard reset and restart, but then the pc lags like anything.
Now if I uninstall everything and reinstall windows and Intel Graphics 4400 driver, the lagging problem and shutdown problem is solved. But then I am not able to play games. If I install AMD catalyst driver, I am able to play games but the shutdown and lagging problem returns.
So, what can I do? How can I have the amd card installed and windows working properly?
Thanks in advance for your help. Any recommendations are welcome.
