Hello

Today I opened my computer while it was running just to make sure that everything was fine. Everything was working OK, but when I checked the fans on my Sappire 7950 Boost 3GB with the Dual X cooling I noticed that one of them (the one closer to the connectors' side) was not spinning at all. I started to do some testing using the TriXX utility and I discovered that the fan only turns on when the fan speed is set to 85% or higher, which is quite odd because, as far as I can rembeber, both fans were spinning last time I checked, despite not being under high load.

It works fine and I haven't had any problem while gaming at all.

Is this a problem with the software or is the fan actually broken? Is this some kind of low noise feature?

Thanks in advance.

Best to raise a support ticket with Sapphire for this. They know how their models work. Just copy and paste this post and it should be enough.

What I can say is that if the temps are ok and the fan isn't making any weird noises or isn't suddenly spinning when you nudge it, then thats probably how its meant to be.
