Hey im building a new pc soon and want to know if this processor will work and is compatible with my pc build:

my motherboard is: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard (4x DDR3, 6x USB3.0, 8x USB2.0, HDMI, DVI-I, DSUB)

and my case is fractal design r4 (no windowed) version
cpu cooler: enermax t40 blacktwist,
components listed above i already have!

Good choice, it will be fine, and as said if you do anything more than gaming will prob be happpier longer with the 4790K than you would the i5

Yes, it is fully compatible with that motherboard.

However, why spend $100~ more on a processor that's going to give out the same performance than an i5 is going to, for a cheaper price? If you're gaming, get the i5-4690K instead. If you are going to be editing videos frequently, and doing similar tasks, go for the i7.

Well because I might be doing more editing and I expected so i want to get the i7 anyway as i want this pc to last a while which is why im spending a lot on it.
