Hello, I would like to know how I can find out many front side USB 3.0 ports a motherboard has and whether the motherboard can support a front side eSATA port . The front side of the case for my new build has 2 front side USB ports 3.0 and 1 eSATA port. The motherboard that I'm looking at is this one Click Here.

Like I said, read the manual, page 12 - ftp://66.226.78.21/manual/980DE3U3S3.pdf

There are 3 USB 2.0 headers...

What does this mean?

Internal I/O Connectors

Onboard USB
2 x USB 3.0 + 6 x USB 2.0

Other Connectors
1 x Floppy connector
1 x IR header
1 x HDMI_SPDIF header
1 x Power LED header
1 x CPU Fan connector (4-pin)
1 x Chassis Fan connector (4-pin)
1 x Power Fan connector (4-pin)
24 pin ATX power connector
8 pin 12V power connector
CD in header
Front panel audio connector

It's on new eggss site for the motherboard.

It means if you connect a cable to either the USB 2 or 3 header, you can use 2 ports on the outside

So since there's 3 USB 2 headers on the mobo, you'll have 6 ports on the outside, if you connected USB cables to them. And there's only 1 USB 3 header which can carry 2 ports on the outside

Each header can only support up to 2 USB 2 or 3 ports, if you connect a cable to it

There are 3 USB 2.0 headers and 1 USB 3.0 header.

Each header should be able to support 2 front panel USB ports.
