Hello ,
these days I decides to get pc , I work in programming and I run malty operating systems in same moment and I would love to watch movies in perfect resolution so I want strong pc , I dont play games or something. although I'm computer science student but I'm not interested in hardwares I dont have enough knowledge of hardware's specification and the new one's.
whatever , my budget is around 1K$ I dont have any old pc's . so I decide to get:
- i7 (cheapest one) I dont reck what speed it is
- 120G SSD hardisk(for system) & 1T hdd.
- 8G ram (I think I need more than 8 right?)
- 2G graphics card (Built-in maybe)
- case
- motherboard
- power supply 500wat(maybe)

my friends told me better to bye new i5 processor with large cash is better and cheeper than old i7

please guide me to have a best pc for me and suggest best hardware ,

Solution
The FX-83XX CPU's are made by AMD while the i5 and i7 are Intel, and with a $1,000 budget, it would be the better choice for a VM system. Again, VM's love more cores. The only downside is the AMD will need a cheap graphics card, but don't need the highest end one for watching movies only.

First, since this is a new build, the i7 is better then the i5. Second, for movies, really don't need a graphics card overall. Integrated is enough these days.

Now, when you say run multiple OS's, do you mean dual-booting (You select the OS you want the PC to use at startup) or virtual machines (VM's)? If you're doing VM's, you want more cores in the CPU and 16GB or 32GB of RAM. With that kind of budget, here's some hardware I would consider for running VM's.

- CPU suggestions (Pricing based off Newegg):

1) i7-5820K - 6 cores / 12 threads. This runs $390.
2) The i7-4790 would be $330, but is only 4 cores / 8 threads.
3) The FX-8370. It's only runs $210, but is 8 cores. The FX's are great for budget VM systems since they go as low as $150 for the FX-8320.

Again, the more cores, the better.

-RAM: Go with 32GB with that budget. You don't want the VM's to eat up all the host OS RAM. Far as what type, DDR3-1600 CL9 is fine. Don't need the highest speeds.

-HDD: Would go higher for VM's or use the 1TB for the VM's, and get a larger one for storage of your files

-SSD: Can get 256GB's these days for low as $120. THe MX100 is $112.

-Graphics Card: Not a huge issue for movies. Even a R7-240 is fine for watching Blu-rays.

Maybe when I'm home tonight, I can post a list of what I would get with that budget.

thnx Dude , I'm really mistake I wrote 3k$ which I meant 3k SR (SAUDI RIYAL) thats equally 1K$ (dollar) .

I like your idea to get highest motherboard with Integrated graphics card which I can save my graphics card and put it again in motherboard .
Actually I'll work with VM .
the last processor (FX-8370) I couldn't realize if its i7 or i5 ? or its something deferent ?

so DDR3 ram ,
you recommend me to get gigabyte motherboard?

what about motherboard what you recommend me to get ?
I need your opinion because you'll recommend me graphics and motherboard in the same time (integrated) .
