Hi guys,

Time has come to upgrade my old rig that has 6850, something more decent. I'v prety taken by new 980 and going for that.
As a processor i've chosen new x99 5920k, to have balanced performance between gaming, rendering, image manipulating and 3d editing. atm i do have 2600

Im not however going to upgrade case, PSU or case, as they are quite decent.
Case is Fractals r4 define (windowed model), PSU Silverstone something 1000W and as a storage dual Samsung 840evo's at RAID 0, + 2x2tb seagate barracudas in RAID 0.

Im not too worried about loosing data and going RAID 1, since i regularly backup everything to external drive.

So questions.

- What motherboard to go ?
I'm considering asus rampage extreme for now, but if you have better suggestions, go ahead.

- Im going to add another gpu sometime after. Am i good to go, and will i be able to use m.2 i would like to add that, or another pci-e divices ? Heard that 5920k has only 28 lanes.

- CPU cooler to go, 100i ? Whats best prefilled watercooling thing i can throw in r4 ?

- Fans and management. im going red-black theme case, fan recomendations and how should i plug them in ? Had manual fan management unit before, and want to get rid of that, i prefer automatic just much more.

- Tips for creating lightning ? Im very new on this.

- Videocard manufacturer ? Should i get asus if i go with their rog board ?

- Anything to hold on ? I would kill myself if 980ti would be released next week...

Additional notes

Yes, im very willing to overclock the system, had everything non unlocked in my last system cause i never taught i would oc. however managed to hit 2600 to 4.4ghz :)

Im using 1440p IPS monito 60hz @ oc 84hz
However looking into gaming specified motitors featuring g-sync. not anytive very soo tho, but you never know.

Ask if you need any more information

Cheers, NotYourAveragePotato
