Well at christmas i am wanting to upgrade my pc that i built last chirstmas and it plays every game i want on ultra, but personally i think there is room for improvement, stability wise and looks etc...
Before i start listing my thoughts, ill list my current specs:
AMD 8320 STOCK CLOCKS (wanting to overclock(will explain later))
Corsair H100
ASRock Extreme3 990fx
Sapphire Reference R9 290
Corsair Venegance 8GB 1600mhz Ram
Corsair CX750M PSU
1680x1050 monitor, i have my tv plugged in, but its 32 inch and its too big to game on and it hurts my eyes...

So heres my thoughts on everything, so i have £500 to spend and i was looking at buying a yamakasi 1440p 120hz monitor for £200, but thats £100 more than a standard monitor and i dont know if there is a huge difference (looking for input on this too) but i have £300 left and im stuck... Im stuck between another 290, but then the heat would be quite intense i think on the top card, but im not totally sure as i would be getting a new case so i can blow some air straight onto them... Also, the motherboard wont let me overclock as the VRM's overheat and stop me from overclocking which is annoying, and as soon as i 'prime95 it' the cpu drops its clocks to keep everything cool therefore it throttles 50% of the time, to about 1300mhz which is very annoying
I was looking at getting another 8gb stick of ram as i usually use 70-90% just on chrome etc (chromes a proper ram whore lol)
So basically im wanting someone to give me ideas on what i can do, i would also like for the pc to look nice as i am thinking of getting my tv on the wall above my new/current monitor and then my pc alongside me as i wanna see inside..
Just give me some ideas and track this thread because i want some help off a few people as i wanna hear different peoples ideas so i get as many options as possible, and if everyone agrees on a certain few things and i can fit them in my budget, and i see these as useful to me, i cant see why i wouldnt get them!

Drop me some ideas,
Thanks, Jake

I really want to avoid, as much as possible, spending money on an lga 1150 as they will be obsolete by next year when the new chips are released, and £440 on a cpu mobo and cooler is a bit insane?

you could get the 4690k with 212 evo cooler and asrock extreme4 to save money i assumed you want to spend the $500 so i put those in and obsolete ? no it would not be obsolete for at least 3+ years if you want latest and greatest youd have to upgrade every month the way computer technology moves and z97 was just released so..
