Is this AM3+ motherboard compatible?

Hello I would like to get a new motherboard and a new cpu. Does this motherboard work with an AMD FX 4350? http://www.microcenter.com/product/401771/970A-G46_AM3_ATX_AMD_Motherboard

The motherboard said it supports AM3+ but it only list the phenom FX.

I am sure it should work but asking before I buy.

Yes it will work all the way up to the FX-8XXX.

That motherboard has a terrible thermal and power design.

Okay last question should I go with an AMD build or an intel Build?

If intel I will go with:

Of course I will get an intel i5 or i7 later but for right now I pick an i3.

Is a water cooling kit premade like the corsair hydro series as good as just water cooling?

Depends on what you want to do with your PC and what you're willing to spend. If you want upgrade paths, go for Intel.

You can get an FX-6300 or FX-83x0 for the price of an i3. But that will be pretty much the best thing you can get for the AM3+ socket. If you want your i3 CPU, you'll have a wide range of options to upgrade with the same socket. And something like the i5 4670 kicks anything that AMD has with ease.
