I replaced my HDMI cable a few months ago and it's been working ok until today. I know there is some kind of connection happening because when I plug it into the laptop's port, the tv goes from Check Signal Cable to No Signal. I've tried plugging it into different ports in the tv, but they all give the same result, leading me to believe the problem lies in either the laptop port or within the cable itself, although all the pins appear to be connected and not bent. Could someone clue me in on why this is happening and if it's possible to fix the problem without shelling out for a new cable every couple of months? Thanks!

Cables do go bad, and that is most likely the issue. Make sure the HDMI cable does not get kinked or bent as that can damage the fibers in it.

Yeah, I was afraid that was the case. I'm hoping that's all it is, because even though it's still under warranty from the place where I bought it, getting someone to fix the port would be a pain in the tuckus. Now I'm wondering if there's such a thing as a super stiff HDMI cable...
Regardless, thank you for the answer. :)

No super stiff, just don't buy the cheapest one. I think the AmazonBasics ones offer reasonable quality for the price. The 99 cent ones from China don't last.
