Computer Turns Off/Restarts randomly

I made a small post about this before when ASUS anti-Surge Activated Restarting my computer. But after turning Asus Anti-Surge off it still happens. THIS ONLY started happening after I updated my Computer bios. It seems like problems just keep on happening one by one, over and over. Such as the millisecond lag spikes in games I keep on experiencing, that no one knows what to do to fix it sadly (no one wants to post in it). Now it just turns off randomly. Should I get a new Power Supply? The Power Supply was working fine until I updated my BIOS. I don't know why it would start happening after updating the BIOS.

I don't think any part is damaged since it turned on fine, but I am not testing anything else anymore. I am done with it until I can get this problem fixed. I know the Power Supply company is a good one, and the Wattage is way more than enough in general. Is there anything that could be the cause of this? I don't want to send in the power supply, and then have it end up not being the power supply's fault.

The same way as you updated to the last one.Just try the one before the last to see if this gives the same problems.
My ASUS P8Z68-V PRO motherboard with an Intel i5-2500K started doing that a few months ago and it eventually wouldn't complete POST anymore a couple of weeks ago. It stayed stuck on CPU initialization and wouldn't go any further. It wasn't a power supply problem. Socket LGA1155 motherboards are not readily available anymore so I decided to upgrade to a GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK Black Edition motherboard and an Intel i7-4790K while reusing the memory.

I think that the more likely cause is a problem with the motherboard's CPU VRM circuit. If it becomes flaky you'll get power surges being detected.

Did you get millisecond lag spikes in games? I just found out that this problem is actually new, and wasn't happening before. I do not know what started this problem. Also, I did reseat the CPU to see if that was the problem causing the millisecond lag spikes. Any ideas?
What do you mean by flaky? Is there a way to fix this or do I need a new motherboard? Ugh.

I don't game much so I didn't notice if there were any lag spikes. I also reseated my CPU and it didn't help either.

If the motherboard's VRM circuit is failing there is no way that you can repair it yourself. Your motherboard should still be under warranty since Z97 chipset motherboards haven't been on the market for very long.

There have been at least eight Z97-A BIOS Versions released for that motherboard. Five of those versions were to improve system stability. That's not a good indicator for a motherboard.

Are you currently using the latest Z97-A BIOS Version 1304?

Some of the older BIOS Versions were buggy and caused BSODs and hard lockups under heavy load, hence the many system stability BIOS version fixes.
