My home network setup is as follows:

My modem connects to a Netgear switch. The Netgear Switch then goes from one port to my Desktop computer, and to another report back into the wall, then out of the wall into a netgear wireless router. The wireless router then connects with a wire to my Xbox One. All of my devices have access to the internet, however the Desktop computer will not see the same network that all of my other devices see, instead creating its own "Internet Network 5" to access the internet.

Is there anyway to connect the networks together so that I can share files that are on my computer with my Xbox? Thanks in advance

You modem must actually be a router or you would not be able to use a switch behind it with 2 devices. This is actually a good thing in this case. You want to run your second router as a AP rather than a router. If it has the ability to run as a AP follow the instructions in the manual. Otherwise cable to the lan port rather than the wan port, disable the DHCP and assign a ip address to this second router some that does not conflict with your other router.
