i know most people say i should get the R9-280X instead but i mean is that extra $60 really worth it considering all i will be doing is playing normal games like BF4, Assassins Creed, Evil Within, and just modern games that are out now and will be coming out in the next 5 years? I mean i will be modding Skyrim with a lot of graphics mods but would the X version be worth it? I hope i do not need it as that price range really kills my wallet. I play on an ASUS 23.8 inch 1080p IPS Monitor. I picked MSI out of the other brands due to its better ratings and higher speeds and other higher statistics. But back to the main question, Which is better the MSI R9-280 or the MSI GTX 760? I will mainly be playing Skyrim the most with graphics mods, will the 280 handle it good? My PS3 plays it at 9FPS so it if plays it faster than that i will be in awe and love it to death!!! :')

The 280 and 760 offer very similar performance, and getting the 280x will offer ~15% boost in performance. If you were to go with the msi r9 280, you will have the added benefit of 3gb vram, which will really come in handy when installing graphics mods for skyrim. Just don't expect a constant 60 fps. I would say get the r9 280 over the 760, but if you have extra money to spend, go ahead and get the 280x, as it will offer a noticeable performance increase

Thanks! :)  But do you still think the R9-280 will still play Skyrim with graphics mods more than 9FPS?

lol, yes it will definitely get more than 9 fps, and also don't be surprised if it manages 35+ fps (even higher if you dont use ENB)

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More than 9FPS i am so exited!!!!!!! I would shit myself it it was atleast 15FPS lol because i have 398 hours itno Skyrim on my PS3 which is causing it to go down hill in performance considering i have every possible thing and also beaten everything. I will use RealVision ENB because i heard its the best Graphics mod for it :)  Also would it be possible to crossfire 2 r9-280 or does it need to be the X version?
