So I have an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard and I'm running a good computer off of it but I have recently only been able to connect via a USB network adapter. I have reset my computer, modem and used various ethernet cables. I can't seem to connect through ethernet at all. I don't know how to update drivers or any of that sort. I want to play a game and I keep getting disconnected via USB whereas I wasn't through ethernet. I would really appreciate a quick fix so I can stop being so frustrated. Half of my tabs don't even open on this WIFI and I have a top of the line adapter (A6200) . I have verizon fios and my friend is connected via ethernet with no problems at all. So clearly it's a software/hardware issue. If anyone can help I'd really really appreciate it. Thanks.

Choose your OS and download the LAN driver.

Also, my wifi randomly disconnects me. It's very frustrating doing anything. I'm not sure if I have a 64bit windows 8.1 or 32 bit 8.1. How do I check? I've tried downloading from this website before and once I clicked download nothing happened.

There is no setup.exe file. I have a compressed folder here and the first folder is "Realtek_LAN_XPVistaWin7-8-8-1V... and I click on that and then I have five or sex folders: NDIS2_V1.40 , VISTA, WINDOWS7, WINDOWS8, XP then 3 non folders that say AsusSetup (Application) AsusSetup (Config settings) and AsusSetup.exe.manifest (Manifest file)

I click on windows 8 and I see : 6 folders: FAQ, ICON, QUICK_INSTALL_GUIDE, README, TOOL, UTILIZE_DUAL_MAC_GUIDE, WIN8
Also seen is _Setup.dll
AsusSetup (app)
AsusSetup (config setting)
AsussSetup.exe.manifest
autoinst
data1
data1.hdr

and a bunch of language options
none of the folders i click on has setup.exe

Don't open any folders.

Run the AsusSetup.exe file in the main folder...
