I5 750 @3.6 with gtx 980 or 970?

I thinking change my video card but, i dont want upgrade my cpu and mobo.. I have gtx 480 and i Wanna know with one its best for my cpu.. Gtx 980 or Gtx 970

I would go 970, you will have no problem running it and it is a great value

Its a little early to be sure but I highly doubt it, although an upgrade to the cpu might be nice

You would not see much of a bottleneck. Some games would give you more FPS with a newer/faster processor but your i5 should not hold back a GTX 970.

i5 750 is 5-6year old cpu and @3.6ghz your gpu will be bottlenecked for sure. You need to upgrade your cpu and board. gpus especially maxwell will do much better with a more robust cpu and board. I can imagine it probably is pci-e 2.0 board....
