Hey guys, I'm new on the forums and I would just like to ask how my first gaming computer build would be in terms of the latest gaming. I am on a $1000-1200 budget but I have already worked out some of the components I would like, and I would just like to ask you for some suggestions for the parts I have not planned so far. They do not have to be too bad, but I would like to have an affordable yet flexible computer, with a bit of space for future proofing. I have not bought any parts, just asking around for a final check before I buy anything. I have found a website that will give me a significant discount so the parts which I am listing is purely for reference and does not reflect the price of what I am buying. The suggestions you can give just has to be reasonable, not too expensive but something which can be functional. The monitor and OS is not needed as I already have those things, neither is the keyboard or mouse, just letting you guys know. Thanks in advance.

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (I am overclocking the CPU)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

For the purposes of this computer, I am using it primarily for gaming like dayz, which I know is quite a cpu reliant game, league of legends, cs: go and other games. I might also use photoshop but that would be it for the most part.

Solution
Great build, change the Memory to Corsair LP or G.Skill, Veng series has tall heatspreaders which obstruct while installing cooler.

Get a better PSU, avoid Corsair VS/ CX/ CS/ builder series, they use cheap capacitors. Any 550W or high PSU from XFX/ Antec/ EVGA/ SeaSonic will do.

You'll certainly need a Motherboard to put all these into.

Thanks for the very quick response! I will change the PSU from the corsair one to a Antec High Current Gamer 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply which seems to be rated highly on the tier list or a OCZ OCZ600MXSP Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply 80+, and I will change my memory to the G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory, which isnt much different in price to the corsair veng, so I am really getting an upgrade :D
For the mobo I was thinking an Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard, or a MSI Z97-GAMING 7
Thanks so far for the help, and these are really just my last questions about the components of my computer.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I was really just looking for suggestions for the parts I didn't already have, as I get a discount already for the parts which I have picked already, so when it is time to add up, this build won't be as powerful as the parts I have already listed. Thanks for suggesting these though, and I am quite interested actually in getting that PSU and MOBO you have suggested.
