Better cpu, or better gpu?

I'm planning on building a budget pc and have everything locked down but the cpu and gpu. I'm building with a VERY strict budget and it has came down to getting the fx-6300 processor and the r7 260x graphics card or the fx-4130 and the r7 265. I can't really loosen my budget enough to get the 6300 and the r7 265 just yet but I'm wondering which combo will give me the most bang for my buck right off the bat. Would it be better to get the 6300 and then upgrade my gpu later on or the r7 265 and upgrade my cpu later on? This is my first DIY build so i'm very new to this and would love all the help I can get.

Solution
Avoid FX x1xx series (Bulldozer), they're flop performance wise, look for FX x3xx (Piledriver), they're lot better. Going by that, I'd go with FX 6 + 260X, for a good high gaming build. Also, how about a slightly better GTX 750 Ti instead on 260X?

I was planning on eventually doing some crossfire or sli and the 750 ti doesnt support sli, that was my only real concern with that gpu. probably going to go with the 6300 and the 260X and then run crossfire later on, see how it goes. I'm not planning on running bf4 on ultra 1080p or anything like that, I just want to play some bioshock infinite as close to maxed as I can and run minecraft maxed with a bunch of mods. I'm really new to this and I'm probably going to have to do some trial and error b4 I get a nice gaming rig going, but figured some input would be nice.

IMHO, Crossfire of mid range cards is not worth it. You see, this is what you get from 260X vs 750 Ti (comparable to GTX 660):
bioshock-fr.png

^That's a straight 10-20 FPS increase, making game from 'struggling' to 'enjoyable'.

Now, with CF 260X, this is what you get:

^That's a 20 FPS increase and exactly what you get with single 750 Ti, or a couple FPS more at most.

Now compare their cost:
CF 260X: $220
750 Ti: $130

I'd go with a single 750 Ti :)
