I'm assuming you are referring to the power jack on the laptop itself and not the power adapter. If it is the power jack that is loose, there are replacement/repair possibilities.
What is the model number of your laptop, we can advise with that information

In most instances the solder connection between the power connector and main board are cracked/damaged. The laptop will have to be taken apart enough to reheat the solder. I personally try to remove the old and re-solder.

You'll want to replace your power adapter if the wires are bad but the more common problem is that the power jack gets broken (which results in a loose connection). I'll suggest replacing the power adapter but, if you have that same problem afterwards, then you can be assured it is the power jack itself (repairable most of the time)
