Hi,

I'm looking at upgrading to a 1440p monitor and have my eyes set on the ASUS PB278Q. I'd like to know if anyone has any other suggestions or recommendations for a monitor in the same price bracket.

Thanks.

I was in your shoes less than 3 weeks ago. I looked at every possible 1440p screen which I could lay my hands on.

I've read a lot of reviews on the different monitors and I finally chose the ASUS PB278Q. It simply is one of the best 1440p screens in terms of value for gaming, if you are to trust the many reviews. I can only recommend it. It has low input lag, great color accuracy, high brightness, comes bundled with all the cables you need to connect your GPU (HDMI, DVI, DP, VGA), great stand (heavy and sturdy), beautiful PLS panel and I've not seen any backlight bleed or death pixels on it, yet.

The PLS panel doesn't match most IPS panels though. Still, it looks phenomenal compared to TN. I would like it to be a bit slimmer, but it's no deal breaker or any concern to me, as it's not a screen that you're meant to move around a lot.

OC3D loves it and so does Linus, you can't go wrong. :)

If you only need DVI input, then I can recommend the Qnix QX2710. Samsung PLS panel for a much cheaper price (although the buttons and stand is cheap).
