Which AM3+ Motherboard is better?

Hello,

The Gigabyte will behave better if you use an FX-8xxx; for an FX-6xxx or lower, any of the motherboards are good. However, if you use an aftermarket cooler, the ASUS board's Northbridge became very hot because of its vecinity with the PCI-e x16 graphics slot, so I recommend Gigabyte.

If you also want to overclock the CPU, you should pick a motherboard with an 990X or 990FX chipset (which unfortunately have a higher price).

Thank you. I decided to go with the Gigabyte motherboard just because of the aftermarket CPU Cooler. I also do not plan on overclocking as I want the parts to last longer.
