RAID 1 without losing data !! (is it possible)

hi all
I have dell T410 server with Dell PowerEdge PERC 6I SAS RAID KIT - Adapter / Battery / 256MB Cache

I have so many data in my first 1TB HDD, the other is empty and I want it to be mirried for the first one. so in case if the main one failed, the other take the role !

is it possible to do this without losing data !??

Nope!
Setting RAID1 for the first time will need a format procedure, which will wipe out everything on the HDDs.

Thaqt is based on my experience but if anyone knows the method on saving the data on one of the HDD, please fell free to write it here.
