Hey there, I'm going to be building a PC Strictly dedicated to Streaming, and I was wondering if anyone out there who has a 2 PC Setup can give me some quick insight in this particular Wish List I put up. I'm still somewhat new to the PC Building scene, so if you're going to be trying to explain certain things - please, please, please speak to me like I'm a very little child seeing as how that'll probably assist me a lot more.

(Keep in mind, I will eventually be picking up the Live Gamer HD PCI Card ((AverMedia)) in the future - as I'm currently using my Elgato for this 2nd PC.)

Wish List:

My main concerns are; if I want to get something past the Ultra Fast / Very Fast settings on OBS, should I be Overclocking the CPU (my first thoughts are yes) and if so, would the 750w PSU be enough to make sure everything else is running smoothly - (and again, my first thoughts would be yes.)

More about : stream build love quick insight

You have an overclocking CPU with a non-overclocking motherboard. Change one or the other.

Get low profile RAM. Also make sure it is two sticks of 4gb, not a single stick

You have no GPU listed. Is this strictly for streaming and not gaming on this machine at all?

Will do for the MoBo. Also, thanks again for the Ram suggestion

As for the GPU, I was going to just use this as a strict Streaming PC with a Capture Card. I'm currently using the Elgato to connect to my main Gaming Rig and am looking to get the Live Gamer HD Card eventually.

[Note:] I've just changed the MoBo and Ram, and was wondering if this was sufficient enough? Since this is strictly going to be Streaming only, I'm looking to get a good 720p Stream going with OBS where I can use some of the options past Super Fast/Very Fast. I'd like to squeeze out the Quality as best as possible without fear of losing frames, etc.

PSU is WAY overkill. get 450w due to no GPU.

The rest looks fine.

I'm not exactly 100% sure on how much power I'd require with Overclocking, considering I haven't really Overclocked too much before - I am wanting to, thus the OC Chip/MoBo - but I will take the 450w PSU advice into consideration. I'll probably switch out for a 450w-500w PSU, thanks once more Tiny!

Even with overclocking, that is a 250w build at MAX load. While streaming, this will never use more than 170w. I would consider a 380w Seasonic unit even if you are HEAVILY overclocking.

Alright thank you very much Tiny. I've opted for a 450w PSU just in case. I've got a 6770 laying around somewhere that I could probably throw in this as a backup PC (but again, I'm not sure a 450w PSU will handle that.)

However, I think 450w would be a decent place to leave the PSU at, unless I'm looking to make sure the price gets a bit more well rounded.

Thank you again for the input, and insight, and I'll be sure to update this Post in the next coming Months when I build the PC to test things out.

Yes 450w is more than plenty for a 6770. Even 400w would be more than you need.
