which ssd is better? is difference noticeable?

Nope, no noticible difference, both are great SSDs, you can get the cheaper one, MX100.

it states Sequential Write: 150MB/s - Sequential Read: 550MB/s
equential Read Speed 540 MB / Sequential Write Speed 410 MB
isn't 410 vs 150 huge difference or is it marketing scheme ?

The Write speed is much more close to 350MB/s in MX100 (its similar for 250 and 120GB):

In real world, the difference is in Milliseconds, I'd save my $10.

what would start up time and lets say 10gb file unzipping speed difference would be between them?

Start up time will differ from PC to PC, even with same SSD, but I'd say a couple hundred millisecs (less than 1 sec) on the same PC. 10GB unzipping should not really differ by more than a couple secs, if those matter to you, go with EVO, or else, go with MX100.

The title of your thread says 850 Evo, which hasn't been released yet.

I'd go for the 840 EVO over the crucial, since Samsung makes all their own parts. And despite that "issue" people have been having lately with the Evo, Samsung is coming out with a fix for it and it wouldn't affect you since you'd be getting a brand new unit. Also, i've had the 840 and 840 Evo on two separate systems and for over a year and am not experiencing, the "issue" that people are complaining about.

you scared me off samsung now. i hadn't heard about it sinc ei am usually not samsung user but after searching i found article about it written 2 days ago. will prob go for crucial.

How did i scare you from Samsung? The issue ppl are complaining about wouldn't affect you. And if the issue did happen to you after a month, 3 months, or 6 months (it varies among them) Samsung is coming out with a FW update for it soon. So you'll most likely never get this "issue".

Also, as i stated above, it doesn't happen to everyone. I don't have the issue.

yes but i live in georgia country so returning something is problem for me. it is said samsung is probably working on fix but whither they'll succeed is yet uncertain right?

They're making a FW update, which can be updated through the Magician program. So you wouldn't have return the drive.
