I can either stick with 1.310v for 4.5ghz or less than 1.3v for a 4.4ghz.

Cooler is corsair h100i.

What do you recommend ? Thanks

1.31V is a perfectly safe Voltage, keep it on 4.5Ghz :)

Are you sure ? They say do not exceed 1.3v on Haswell.

Less than 1.3v...as far as I know it is best to not go past 1.3v

Won't be an issue as long as you have that OC to compliment the high VCore. Don't go above 1.35V for everyday usage.

But with about 1.31v temp goes about a 90 degrees during a stretch test. Cooler is corsair h100i

That is just to hot for that v and temp in my opinion.

Update. I would say to decrease it to 1.3v and see what the temps are then.

Yes the temps are hot, what are the temps for 4.4Ghz?

Thing is i need more than 1.3 for a stable 4.5 ...

As for 4.4 i need less than 1.3 .... This is weird :S

Happens, What are the temps fore 4.4GHz stable? If they're less than 70C on Prime95, consider stopping there as it can well be your 'sweet spot' for OCing. If not, then you may need to play with the OC a bit more.

Then go down to 4.4 OC...the 4.5 is not worth it as it is pushing the CPU way harder than it would need to be. Diminishing gains like that are tell tale signs that it is not worth doing. For example: 1.25v is 3.8, 1.26v is 4.0, 1.27v is 4.2, 1.28v is 4.4, and 1.31v is 4.5...so 4.5 would not be worth it. (just making up an example).

Fine. Ill go back to 4.4.

Is a 4.4 oc on this cpu good for gaming? The cache multiplier is 44 as well.

Yes...heck 3.4 is still good for gaming...and 4 is great.

Above 4Ghz, there's a couple FPS difference from 4.1 and 4.7, so you're good till the temps are under limits.
