I have 1 sapphire toxic r9 280x and I'm planning on buying a second sapphire toxic r9 280x.

I also have a fx 8350 at stock speeds. Is 750w enough for two r9 280x?

As long as you are not overclocking the fx 8350 it should run fine. I am running a PH II x6 at 4.0ghz, and I'm running a HD 7950+HD7970 crossfire setup on my 750w MK II PSU. It may only be working well for me because my unit has a max output of 880w. You would be really close, but I think it will work as long as you don't overclock.

You shouldn't. The PSU would just shut down if it can't handle it.

No problem. If worst comes to worst, just disable crossfire until you replace your current PSU. The second card will only draw a tiny bit of power when crossfire is disabled, and your system will continue with one card until you get a new 850w PSU.
