My specs are as followed;
-Athlon II x4 750k Black Edition 3.40GHz
-Sapphire R9 270 2gb
-Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz 2x4GB dual channel 8GB kit
-500w Corsair Bronze
-1TB WCD Hard drive
-Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Motherboard
-Windows 7 Ultimate
-BitFenix Comrade Case Midi-Tower

Hello

Basically i would like to upgrade to this cpu:

What Standard ATX Motherboard would you recommend which is under £100 that would go with the processors socket 1155. Also will my existing PSU be okay for the new motherboard, cpu and existing GPU which requires a 1x6pin adapter. Because i guess they require a lot more power.

Thanks

Solution
For an Intel upgrade I would recommend you look at the new Devil's Canyon i7 4790k instead of the Haswell 3770k.

- Nearly the same price
- Faster stock speed
- Better TIM on heat spreader
- Lower operating temperatures

If this is just for gaming, the i5 4690k would have the same benefits, perform just as well with a single high-end GPU, and cost less.

Then why is it that when i look at game recommended specs like Dayz Standalone, The long dark, The Forest and Battlefield 4 say i require and i7 which is at 2.5ghz or higher. Wouldn't an i5 not cut it for that, I'd like to upgrade to an cpu that i won't have to worry about upgrading for quite a long.

My budget its at £300 for the new motherboard, cpu, CD Drive and 2 front case fans.

Also ImDaBaron what so important about the board i looked at being LGA?

The CPU you were looking at wouldnt fit in the motherboard. An I5 is more than enough for all of those games.
