Since DayZ is CPU intensive, I went for a six-core + the 750 Ti, so I think is should be pretty damn good. If it will be good, Can anyone say what fps or settings?

More about : build good dayz

I'm having a similar build to yours and still have poor fps performance in DayZ. The problem with this game is that it's poorly optimized. I have an overclocked i5 4670K with overclocked 750ti and only reach 28 fps @ full settings with 2x MSAA.

Thing is, My buddy has a 6-core 3.5 GHz CPU also, and an R9 of some sort, and gets LITERALLY 60fps at very high settings at NWAF. I've played with it myself.

Oh well! I've just make a quick search and it seems that DayZ is Mantle compatible. This means that it will reduce CPU usage for AMD card owners and result in higher frame rate. This mean you should go with an AMD card if you really want to get the best out of DayZ. R9 285 is a good card but has higher price point than 750ti.

core count does not really mean much intel CPus with less cores are generally a lot faster and the 750 Ti isnt exactly high end card its very budget card for 60 fps+ id say get i5 and gtx 770 or gtx 970

What about a 280? Is there a big difference? The 285 is A tad too much for me.
