At idle AMD overdrive shows 50 - 60 degrees but when i open a game eg. Skyrim at ultrahigh the temp drops to 40-50 degrees, i'm so confused right now.

Solution
I like HWinfo and Core temp, but yeah, HWmonitor and Opensource monitor use "normal" temperature readings. Unless you change the settings to read thermal limit or distance to TJ max. I don't like to use Aida64 just for reading temps as it puts enough of a load on the cpu by itself to fudge the readings more than smaller apps.
What temps are we talking about? CPU or GPU? Core or socket? Overdrive does not show actual temps, it shows thermal margin so when it says 50 that means 50 more degrees before it's too hot. When it shows 40, 40 more to the thermal limit. If it shows like five or ten, you're getting close as hell to overheating.
