AC adapter Too much Amp ?

today my laptop power supply went dead... i had an extra one it has the same voltage which is 19V but the old one had 3.42Amp the one im using now had 4.somthing AMP
can this ruin my computer or just my batteri ? cause i dont care about the batteri only the computer :/

Hi, it will be alright, the laptop will draw the power it needed, if the old adapter had 3.42A and the new one has 4.??A, then, the laptop will not require more than the maximum of 3.42A from the new adapter. But verify it has the same polarity.
