This is intended to be a gaming PC and I will be playing MMOs for a majority. Prior to building my first rig, I thought GPUs were the most important part and did not invest is a I7 :( so I guess I am paying the price for it now since its only been less than a year since I upgraded to the I5.

Here are my questions:
1. Is the up to the I7 really needed to have a smooth FPS and no bottle necking while playing any MMOs?
2. Should I stick with the GTX 970 or pay the extra for a GTX 980?
3. The current wattage is way under the 600w power supply I have, should I upgrade this as well as I may have 2 GTX 970s if I don't get the 980 and would this is overkill?
4. Is there anything else I should be prioritizing to upgrade to improve performance?

Any input will be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Things are going to change in the next 3 months. I would honestly wait. When you are ready to buy ask the same questions because you are going to have new products, price changes, upgrades.... Kind of hard to tell you right now what is the best path.

Sorry for the confusion about the time of purchase. even though I originally stated at the end of the year, I may just wake up one day in the next few weeks and say "I want it now". In this case, are the upgrades answers to my questions?

Thanks again.
