Where to find a 3.5" Sata HDD to USB adapter

I need to get a HDD adapter so I can access the files on my laptop from my old computer as it recently broke.

Where am I able to get one that is cheap?

I think its a 3.5" as it is from a desktop, it uses SATA

Pull the HDD. This will let you plug in the cable to 2 USB ports. Then the HDD. I have used this when servicing laptop HDD's. Should work fine with a 3.5 inch.

good catch.... I never noticed that.... I have used it for 3.5 drives, but it looks like its not certified for it... I would get the powered one for your 3.5 drive, or the bay

I was hoping for something like £5, just to copy over some files, do I need to spend that much out or just risk the 2.5" ones?

underpowering a drive COULD (Read COULD) lead to some corruption of files... but eh...

I use mine a LOT more than i thought i ever would... how about this version:

maybe see if someone will let you hook it up in their pc and then move the files to a usb drive/email them?

going ultra cheap on this starts risking crap wiring, voltage issues, corruption risks, or plain just not functioning...

the cheap ones also tend to only be for 2.5" drives that use less power.
