Hi all.

My old modem-wifi broke and the broadband company supplied me with a new one, a Kasda KW58293. I'm having problems connecting this new modem-wifi to my old TL-WA830RE range extender.

I did the built in wizard in the range extender but it keeps displaying "disconnected" after everything is done.

Currently, I've set-up the modem-wifi 's encryption as WPA2-mixed and used "preshared key" as my security.

On the range extender side, I've been using "automatic" on both.

I know I made the range extender work before but I forgot how.

Any help would be welcome. I am not familiar with this new modem-wifi so I don't know if the settings in it are correct. I am sure that the wifi works because I've been able to use the wifi within its range.

On the range extender, the gear symbol's light seems to keep lighting up.

Thank you for your time.

I decided to return my range extender to the store to try to claim factory warranty. I think my real problem is that the unit hangs and becomes unreachable or inaccessible, even via LAN, without a reset to default. To all who took the time to browse, thank you.
