I have an external hard drive from iogear that I no longer have a charger for. I have contacted the company several times and they no longer make external hard drives and do not supply the unique charger from said hard drive. I was told by the company that no universal charger will work on the hard drive and my best bet is to put it into a new case. My question is what case would make and acceptable transfer case? It is model:GHD335C20 Thank you for any help you can give me.

Either look for charger on ebay, or you can always buy a new enclosure which will include a power adapter.

You just need to find out if your dirve is 3.5" drive or 2.5" drive. If the external is more then 3 years old then you will also want to check if it is a sata hard drive or ide drive as they use a different connection port.

It says COMBO 3.5" ION™ 320GB Drive w/ Tri-Select. It is more than 3 years old but I cannot seem to find if it is a sata drive or an ide drive. How would I be able to tell? I have tried to look it up online but don not see where it says.
