So I cannot play any games because I get the Nvidia Kernel has crashed issue and it blue screens my entire pc.
I have gone back to old drivers, even done driver sweeper and installed fresh, used driver sweeper and installed older drivers (this worked for about 3 days but issues returned). After the older drivers got the issue again, I did a clean update to the latest drivers and the issue is again causing my pc to be unusable for its intended function. I can't even stress test the GPU with 3DMark because that crashes too, my temps are fine though I know that (Idle is avg: 43°C.). I have also put my gpu back to stock settings because it came pre-OC'd.

PC specs are attached. But main points are that I'm using a GTX 580 and Intel i7 2600k and a z68a-d3h-b3 Gigabyte Motherboard.

Solution
Turn off any overclocking . Monitor the temperatures of the GPU/CPU - GPU-Z , Real Temp 3.70 , MSI Afterburner . 600W PSU is recommended . Try Adjust image settings with preview->Let 3D application decide .

Last resort - clean install of Windows . First copy all important data from C: to D:
