I would first like to say, yes my laptop has an upgradable graphics card. Please do not say "It's a laptop, gpu is soldered in. You cannot upgrade it." because that is wrong.

Anyway, I have an m17x r3 and I think my gpu has failed. I thought it might have been the motherboard but I took out my 560 and the laptop runs fine now using integrated so if I am not mistaken that means the card has failed. Right?

Dell has told me they do not support the hardware for my system anymore and will not help me.

I have seen cards on ebay but is that the only option? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The only place I have ever seen them is on eBay and they are always expensive. It probably is the GPU but it could be more.complex like the GPU socket or power went bad on the mobo in which case a replacement wouldn't work or could break like your current one. Personally I'd eBay the broken GPU and the laptop and get a new one

I wouldn't get much out of it. I have a desktop I just built to replace it but I would still like to have the laptop for travel.
