I get an error on start up that says NVIDIA Graphics card not installed correctly. The SLI connector is attached to the SYNC/SDI finger on the graphics card. The options are shut down now or later.

im not even using SLI i am using the following hard ware:

GTX 760 OC

GTX 650 dedicated PHYSX

16GB Kingston Hyper X RAM

ASUS P7P55-D MOBO

H80i CPU water cooler

i7 (8 thread) 2.8 GHZ CPU, OC = 3.52 GHZ

2 x 1TB hhd

i've had this problem with this driver and the last one and this current one. the last driver i've had no issue with so far is 335.23.

also i'm not using any SLI cables at all and control panel is set to dedicated Physx for my GTX 650

any help would be awesome thanks :)

Maybe having your Gtx 650 is confusing the driver when installing try re installing the driver with the Gtx 650 power unhooked then once Gpu driver is installed plug the power cord back to the Gtx 650.

The 344.11 drivers have been causing all kinds of problems on non-900 series GPUs. I'm not sure about the 970 and 980, though, since I'm still waiting for my 970 to be shipped to me. Reinstall the older drivers.

So what SLi connector is attached? You seem to contradict yourself.

337.88 WHQL is a decent driver. I'm currently running 340.52 WHQL and it works fine for me.

Yeah, so? What are these "all kinds of problems on non-900 series GPUs" that are being caused by the 344.11 drivers? Running SLi'd 660Ti's I have a vested interest.
