ATT U-Verse Best way to setup new router?

I just got att uverse 2 months ago, and I want to set up a new router to it. What's the most efficient way to do this? I have the Netgear AC1750 wireless router.

It depends on the uverse router and what other things you get from them...ie tv. Att unverse tends to be a pain since they most times won't let you put the vendor router in bridge mode. The closest you can tend to do is run it in DMZ mode and put your other router as that ip address.
