Okay, so I have had a few ports open, for well over a year. No problems, but now, none of my ports are working. I tried disabling my firewall, restarted my router, re-port-forwarded, nothing has worked. I have no idea what is wrong.

ISP- Charter Communications
Router- Netgear R4500

Has the IP address changed on the target computer?

There I unselected it as best answer.

Your Internet IP has changed (from your ISP) or the IP of the computer the ports are forwarded to has changed (192.168....)??

I've made sure that it's the correct local IP
(both have changed a few times)

If you are using the correct WAN IP (from your ISP) and using the correct local computer IP, and the port numbers were setup correctly then it must be a firewall type issue. I am assuming you can browse the web and do anything else you normally do on that pc?

Yeah, everything else is normal. I have disabled my antivirus (Avast!), and windows firewall, it hasn't solved the issue though.

What method are you using to see if the ports are open?

If you have another windows pc you might try setting up a port forward for that PC, that will tell you if it is a network issue or pc issue. You can use VNC, remote desktop, skype or any game or server program you have on that pc. Then after setting it up on router, open the application and test it.

I was just using www.canyouseeme.org to check if the ports were open. I'll test a gameserver, now.

Hmm, I am able to host a gameserver (minecraft). Why does canyouseeme.org, and other web-based port checkers not work? That's weird.

Alright, so one of the reasons I thought my ports weren't working, is because my bittorent client couldn't seed anything, I know tomshardware isn't very piracy friendly, so I don't expect you guys to know what's going on there. Thanks for your help. :)

Seeding issue could be your ISP blocking ports if using common BT ports.

If in USA they care way more about seeding then downloading. That way if you gave 1%of a file to 200 people they can say that you supplied the content to 200 people and then say had you not shared it then those 200 people would have bought it so you owe them all that lost revenue.
