Hi

I've just completed my first build but I'm contemplating adding some additional fans with the small budget that I have remaining and would like some advice. I currently have a Corsair Carbide 300R case with the stock fans and a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo. My system specs are:

I5 4690k
Asus GTX 760 2gb
MSI Z97 gaming 3
Corsair CX600
8gb RAM

Nothing is currently overclocked, although it may be in the future.

What additional fans would be beneficial to my current build and in what set-up? I've been looking at a couple of Corsair AF120-LED fans but would I also need to add more exhausts at the top? At the moment I have the one intake at the front and one exhaust at the back.

All advice would be greatly appreciated!

I might switch to two intake fans and see how you do.

And... do you really have a case cooling problem?
Adding more fans improves airflow at the expense of more noise.
Your parts are not unusually hot to begin with.
Unless you are looking for a max overclock of cpu or gpu, adding fans is probably not that helpful. To test what you might get, run with the side covers off. That will simulate what extra fans will give you. If you like the results, add fans,

Prefer larger 140mm fans if you can. They push more air at lower rpm and will be quieter.
Noctua makes good fans, but they are pricey.
