I use my android phone to connect to the internet thru a boingo hotspot finder. I hve tried to hook up a roku to my tv,it wont work.can i use a wieless blu ray dvd player to do this? I do not have routers or modems

What is the boingo device. Are you using someone elses wifi, or is it like a cellular modem that uses a 4g or 3g cell data tower and then transmits wifi?
