i7-4790K R9 280 VS Xeon E3-1230 V3 R9 290 VS Xeon E3-1230 V3 GTX 970

I do alot of video editing and gaming. And i am wondering which build, is better. Please do not give me an answer "get the i5 blah blah blah". I currently have a core 2 duo, and I want to keep the pc for 5+ years without any upgrades.

Just FYI, the most recent processor is the Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4 GHz .

For video editing, and if you have a discrete GPU, then you get a slightly better "workhorse" CPU without the burden of integrated graphics for a slightly lower price.

id get the #3 and change the power supply to higher quality one such as xfx 550 watt one also id personally spend the extra $ to get the new gtx 970 in that build

It is only at 3.4ghz and turbos to 3.8ghz. Not 4.3Ghz

i know you said u want the i7 but downgrading to i5 would be the smarts choice to get the 970

you couldbut you cant overclock it and i5 you could easily 4.4 ghz and post above is wrong on the xeon ghz its 3.4 even the new version
