Effects Quality and battlefield 4. strange performance jumps.

for some reason.. my fps with everything on ultra can get me down to around 40fps in explosions and around smoke areas. BUT, when i put this ONE setting down to high (effects quality) i can raise my resolution scale to 130% and the minimum fps i get is 70. What gives? has the effect quality got that kind of massive performance hit to my pc? is it bugged? what could possible be cause this to happen?

It's not your system it's the game, a lot have this fps drop when explosions and such happens including my self. It's not fixed even after a lot complained. Guess we're gonna have to live with it

ahh im glad its not just me.. i guess i will just have to keep the effect quality on high from now on then.

is it becuase you card is a gtx 670? mine is a gtx 780ti.. is it just everyone with any type of card? i heard it was an nvidia problem also.
