Okay, So I've had my computer for a while now. It runs fantastic. I've been wanting to learn linux for a long while now. so I decided I would install linux on my second hard drive. I created a bootable usb and when i hit install it comes up with a bunch of items it also disables my keyboard and mouse and the blinking red light on my usb stops flashing. I am 100% sure that i have enough space and i did it right. I don't think thats the issue. Could it be the newest version of ubuntu? or did i actually do something wrong.

Sounds like a kernel panic, ie the system has crashed for some reason. As for why? hard to say without looking at some log error. Suggest first trying with different Linux and/or different USB and see if problem persists.

Clicked install where? Which Linux? Some BIOSes have settings for your keyboard behavior during boot, you may want to check there as well.
