I built a gaming computer about 4 months ago, and the hard drive i had died. So i bought a SSD for faster usage. But, i have a GeForce GTX 760 Graphics card installed. When i put the SSD in the computer, and had the OS disk in my CD/DVD drive. When i turned on the computer, neither the HDMI port on the motherboard or on the Graphics Card sent a signal to my monitor. Do i need to rempve the Graphics Card from the motherboard or did i do something wrong?

Your mobo/GPU combo might not support UEFI so you'll have to use the analog connector on the GPU. It should be the DVI port on the bottom and you can do either DVI or use the DVI/VGA adapter.

I am sorry to hear about your HD. Can you at least get into the BIOS? By hitting delete or F2. If not. When you start your computer with the new SSD does the motherboard light up or any of the fans go on? If yes, does your keyboard or mouse light up after a minute or so? If it nothing starts up then I say its your power supply that died not your HD...

Otherwise double check all your cables to monitor, make sure they are secure and fully inserted...

If you just bought it new 4 months ago, I would look into your warranty maybe you got a bad apple...
