Problems deleting a "ghost" folder from my Seagate drive...

Hi, I'm trying to delete a folder on a Seagate drive, which I use with my PC. Well, technically, it only sits in the trash when the drive is plugged in -- the folder no longer appears with other files on the drive, nor does it appear in the list of folders on playback (i.e. when the drive is plugged into my television)... When I unplug the drive from the computer, the trash shows it's been emptied, but when I plug in the hard drive again the trash shows the folder hasn't emptied from the trash yet. I don't know if it even really matters as the file in the trash says 0kb, but if there's a corruption issue causing this to sit somewhere unnoticed on the drive and do ultimate damage, I'd obviously like to get rid of it.

Any thoughts?

Hi, yes, it's an external drive and this folder never appears anywhere when I have the drive plugged in to the tv. It does appear in the trash when the drive is plugged in to the computer, so I will try to copy everything else and move it elsewhere and reformat the drive and see if that helps. Thanks!
